Greetings to the players of CubixWorld!


In this guide, I would like to share my knowledge about the CubixFish mod, specifically developed for CubixWorld servers.


I. Fishing Rods and Various Elements Attached to Fishing Gear:

Fishing Line – an item equipped on the fishing rod, has no effects and various durability:

  • Thread fishing line – 10 durability;
  • Metal fishing line – 30 durability;
  • Golden fishing line – 50 durability;
  • Infinity fishing line – infinite durability.

Lure – an item equipped on the fishing rod, has no effects and various durability:

  • Homemade lure – 5 durability;
  • Silvered lure – 10 durability;
  • Golden lure – 20 durability;
  • Infinity lure – infinite durability.

Reel – an item equipped on the fishing rod, changes the waiting period before biting:

  • Wooden reel – bite not earlier than 50-80 seconds;
  • Iron reel – bite not earlier than 40-60 seconds;
  • Diamond reel – bite not earlier than 30-40 seconds;
  • Infinity reel – bite not earlier than 10-20 seconds.

Hook – an item equipped on the fishing rod, has a durability of 30 and increases the chance of catching higher-level fish:

  • Wooden hook – increases by 0%;
  • Iron hook – increases by 10%;
  • Golden hook – increases by 20%;
  • Diamond hook – increases by 30%;
  • Infinity hook – increases by 90%, has infinite durability.

Fishing Rod – a device designed for fishing, made from various materials. There are 3 levels of fishing rods, differing in durability.

  • Level 1 fishing rod – 50 durability;
  • Level 2 fishing rod – 100 durability;
  • Infinity fishing rod – infinite durability.

In order for the fishing rod to function, all gear (fishing line, lure, reel, and hook) must be attached. Press Shift + Right Click with the rod in hand to open the interface for placing fishing elements.

The durability of the gear is consumed in any outcome of the mini-game for catching fish. If the mini-game has not started, the durability will not be consumed.


II. Lakes and Fishing:

A lake – a water-filled space designated by the administration for fishing.

Fishing with rods from the mod can only be done at the lake.

Next to the lake, there is an information board indicating the current number of fish in the lake and the wait time for fish to replenish. Right-clicking the information board will show the fish composition of the lake. Hover over the fish to get information about the produced products.

To fish, you need to:

  1. Prepare the fishing rod and go to the lake;
  2. Cast the bobber into the lake Right Click;
  3. Wait for the biting animation and press Right Click;
  4. A running bar of items will appear at the bottom of the screen. The player must click Left Click on the "Hook" button every time any fish (cod, salmon, pufferfish, clownfish) is at the center of the bar. To pull the fish from the lake, a certain number of successful hooks must be made within a limited time. A miss takes away 1 successful hook. The fish will escape if the player fails to meet the required number of successful hooks in the allotted time or if the number of successful hooks drops below 0. Fishing can be canceled using the Esc. key.
  5. After successfully completing the mini-game, the player receives a random fish from the lake with a random level and weight.


To ensure that the caught fish does not take up inventory slots, it can be stored in an aquaterrarium. One such portable storage can hold 10 fish.


III. Fish:

Fish – the result of successful fishing in the lake. It has several characteristics:

  • Level – affects the frequency of product production and the breeding speed in the aquarium. The higher the level, the more frequently products are generated and the longer the breeding lasts. The distribution of fish by level in the lake:
  • Common – level 1-20, make up 84% of the fish in the lake, produce products with a period of 24-27 seconds¹;
  • Rare – level 21-40, make up 14% of the fish in the lake, produce products with a period of 21-24 seconds¹;
  • Epic – level 41-50, make up 2% of the fish in the lake, produce products with a period of 19.5-21 seconds¹.
  • Weight – affects the maximum one-time amount of generated products in a range from 1 to the integer value of the fish's weight. For example, a fish weighing 19.5 kg will generate products from 1 to 19 (inclusive) at a time. The maximum weight a fish can have depends on server settings, but does not exceed 50 kg. Weight also affects the difficulty of fishing.
  • Predator – determines whether the fish is a predator. If the value is "Yes", peaceful fish weighing less than the predator's weight will disappear in the aquarium after some time.
  • Night – the fish can be caught at night during game days, produces products at night.
  • Day – the fish can be caught during the day of game days, produces products during the day.
  • Lifespan – depends on server settings, breeding fish in an aquacombinator increases the lifespan of the fry (fish produced as a result of breeding).


IV. Mechanisms:

Aquarium – a mechanism for producing products from fish and increasing their weight.

There are 2 levels of aquariums based on the number of slots for fish:

  • Level 1 aquarium holds 15 fish;

  • Level 2 aquarium holds 30 fish.

Fish gain 0.001 kg every 27 seconds¹ spent in the aquarium regardless of the values of the "Day" and "Night" characteristics.

As mentioned earlier, the higher the fish's level, the more frequently it produces products. Product production can be accelerated with feed, which is placed in a special slot in the upper left corner of the aquarium:

  • Bread – doubles production and breeding speed;
  • Fish feed – triples production and breeding speed;
  • Worm jar – increases production and breeding speed by five times.

Each fish in the aquarium consumes feed depending on its weight: the higher the weight, the more frequently feed will be consumed. Frequency (in seconds) = 1500/(Weight_of_fish). For example, a fish weighing 40 kg will consume feed every 1500/40 = 37.5 seconds.

Products can be extracted from the aquarium from any side using pipes.


Aquacombinator – a mechanism for breeding fish. Accepts fish of the same species weighing more than 3 kg. Fish do not disappear after breeding, and the number of fry after the process varies from 0 to 3.

Approximate breeding time (in minutes) = 1.22 * (Level_of_first_fish + Level_of_second_fish) – 2.2. For example, if fish with levels 1 and 35 are breeding, then the approximate time for their breeding = 1.22*(1+35)-2.2 = 41.72 minutes = 41 minutes 43 seconds. Feed can be used to speed this up, and it is consumed every breeding operation.

Fry level = (Level_of_first_fish + Level_of_second_fish)/2 + (0 or 1).

Resulting fry always weigh 0.5 kg. The "Day" and "Night" characteristics may acquire new values, independent of the characteristics of the fish being bred.

Fry can be extracted from the aquacombinator from any side using pipes.


If you are unable to place an aquarium or aquacombinator and a message appears in the chat saying "Cannot place mechanism in this location", this error occurs due to some invisible blocks from other mods. To resolve it, clear the area and place any blocks at the desired location of the mechanism, then break them.
