Chapter 1. Necessary Resources

For autocrafting we will need:

  • ME controller;
  • ME storage + storage cell;
  • ME interface (any will do, but it's better to use a hybrid one so that later all crafts can fit in);
  • 2 Wireless connectors (can be replaced with ME cables if desired);
  • ME smart cable/dense;
  • ME export and import buses,
  • Large pattern terminal;
  • Chest (any);
  • Engraver. Must be a standard one;
  • Quartz knife + iron ingot;
  • Neutron compressor;
  • Matter condenser;
  • Resources needed to create a singularity (in my case, 7350 blocks of redstone), as well as the singularity itself (in my case, also a redstone singularity).

Chapter 2. Encoding Patterns for the Large Workbench

Patterns can be encoded at both the large pattern terminal and a regular pattern terminal, but it's easier and faster to do it at the large one.

2.1 Take the quartz cutter in hand and by right-clicking open its interface. Place an iron ingot inside and enter any name, after which take the “Naming press for the engraver” into your inventory (Fig. 1).

Figure 1 – creating the naming press for the engraver

2.2 After that, you need to place the “Naming press for the engraver” we made earlier into a regular engraver and add 1 any resource to start the renaming process (Fig. 2). We will receive a renamed resource (Fig. 2.1) as output.

Figure 1.1 – the process of renaming the resource

Figure 1.2 – the renamed resource

Take it and place it in the inventory; we will need it later.

2.3 After executing p. 2.1, 2.2, before starting the pattern encoding, we need to do a little math. For the redstone singularity, we need 7350 blocks of redstone. We carry out simple mathematical calculations: 7350/64=114.84 stacks of redstone. Then 114x64=7296 blocks of redstone. We subtract 7296 from 7350 and get a remainder of 54 blocks of redstone. Thus, we need 114 stacks + 54 blocks of redstone.

2.4 Now let's move on to creating the pattern: Set the pattern creation mode to “furnace” and fill 80 slots in the pattern encoder with redstone, and in the last slot, place 1 red dust, and in the output slot, place the renamed item that we got in p. 2.2 and encode the 1st of the 2 necessary patterns (Fig. 2)

Figure 2 – this is how the 1st pattern should look

Now we move on to encoding the 2nd pattern. We place the remaining number of blocks, as well as put the renamed item from p. 2.2, in the output slot we place the redstone singularity (Fig 2.1)

Figure 2.1 – view of the 2nd pattern

This concludes all the preliminary preparation. Let’s move on to building the autocrafter.

Chapter 3. The Process of Building the Autocrafter

3.1 You need to place the wireless connector and connect it to the chest through the ME interface (Fig. 3). In the ME interface, you need to place the patterns we made in p. 2.4 (Fig. 3.1).

Figure 3 - ME interface connected to the chest

Figure 3.1 - patterns in the ME interface

3.2 After this, you need to create an additional ME system and, through ME import buses, make sure that the resources supplied to the chest enter the ME system (Figures 4-4.1). To speed up the process of items being retrieved, you can add 1-2 buses and place acceleration cards in them.

Figure 4 – ME system

3.3 Next, place the engraver and connect it to the new ME system we created. Place the “Naming press for the engraver” obtained in p. 2.1 inside the engraver. On the engraver, place 1 export bus and 1 import bus, connect the export bus to the ME system. Do not touch the import bus for now (Fig. 5).

In the export bus, place a supply of red dust (Fig. 5.1)

Figure 5.1 – setting up the export bus

3.4 After that, it is necessary to connect the import bus that takes resources from the engraver to the main ME system (Fig. 5.2). To avoid connecting ME cables in unnecessary places, a cable anchor can be used.

Figure 5.2 – connected import bus to the main ME system

3.5 Place the neutron compressor and connect the export bus to it (the bus must be placed on top since the input is only on this side). The export bus should be connected to the additional ME system (Fig. 6). In the export bus, place a supply of redstone blocks (Fig. 6.1). Acceleration cards can be used to speed up the supply.

3.6 Place the import bus on the neutron compressor and connect it to the main ME system (Fig. 7).

3.7 Place the matter condenser and connect it to the additional ME system through the export bus (Fig. 8). In the export bus, the item we renamed through the engraver in p.2.2 should be supplied (Fig. 8.1).

Chapter 4. Starting the Autocrafter.

4.1 After all the actions taken, we can start the long-awaited autocrafter and finally automate this process. At the end of the autocrafting, we should receive the finished singularity (Fig. 9).

P.S. In conclusion, I would like to say that making this guide was not so difficult as it was tedious... I hope this guide will help someone to learn something new, to create this autocrafter for the first time, or to improve an existing one. Thank you for your attention!
