Hello everyone! In this guide, I want to explain how to breed the Imperial and Diligent bees, whose products are needed for crafting the bee hive.

First of all, I want to explain why the Imperial and Diligent bees - when you first start getting to know Forestry, it’s unclear where to start learning about the mod, and finding a clear Russian-language guide is very difficult. I recommend starting the study of bees with the goal of making your first bee hive, or as players call it - Big hive, for whose creation these two wonderful bees are needed.

So what do we need to create these bees?

1. A bee house where all the magic will happen.
2. Frames from Magic Bees: Necrotic + Metabolic or Oblivion + Metabolic. Necrotic reduces the lifespan of the bee by 70%, allowing for faster breeding, and the metabolic frame increases the chance of bee mutation by 80%. The oblivion frame reduces the bee's lifespan to 100% and kills the bee within seconds; this frame will result in the fastest breeding of the bee.
3. Forest and meadow bees, which will be used to breed new species of bees.
4. A bee analyzer, needed to observe the genes of the bee; without it, breeding will slow down significantly, as you won’t be able to control the mutation.
5. A drop of honey, needed for the analyzer to operate (you’ll need a lot).
6. Patience and strong nerves; believe me, you will need them a lot.

The first thing we need to do is find forest and meadow hives. The meadow hive can be found simply standing on the grass, while the forest hive spawns on trees.

I don’t consider it necessary to explain how to make bee houses and other mechanisms in order not to prolong this article (there’s nothing complicated there, I know you’re very smart :3).

A completely ready bee house with frames should look something like this (the only difference may be between necrotic and oblivion frames):

I will only describe the Imperial bee; you will do the Diligent bee using the same technique, as it is identical when breeding any bee.

Let’s breed a Common bee; for this, we will need to cross a forest bee and a meadow bee.

Please note!!! The mutation is absolutely not affected by whether you breed a forest princess with a meadow drone or a meadow princess with a forest drone; the main thing is that these two species participate in the mutation.

By crossing a meadow princess with a forest drone, we obtained a meadow queen. At this stage, you should wait for the end of the queen’s life cycle; after death, she will split into a princess and drones.

The queen has split into a forest princess and forest and meadow drones. We were not lucky the first time to get a common bee; when breeding any bee, it’s important to check the genes every time after crossing. That’s what we will do now. We put the bees in the analyzer and are shocked by the large amount of confusing information.

At the moment, it’s not worth trying to figure everything out; the most important thing is to understand what active and inactive genes are. Let’s break down what this means in the line Type: the forest bee has an active gene - Forest, which means it tells us what specific bee is before us now. With an inactive gene, or as it’s also called - passive gene, it’s much more interesting; this is what you should pay the most attention to. If the inactive gene is Common, this means that in the next crossing, our forest bee could mutate into a common bee, which is just what we need. Bees with different active and passive genes are called hybrids, and such bees cannot be used for automation of products, as they can mutate into another bee at any moment. It is important to use only pure bees.

Important!!! If you didn’t understand what I just explained above, you should reread and try to digest and understand this information, as the further breeding of bees without it is impossible.

In our situation, we just continue crossing the Forest princess with the Meadow drone and pray to the great bee gods.

We again were not lucky with the breeding of the bee, but this time we got a new hybrid - Developed bee, which we will not use for crossing, so it’s not needed. Don’t throw away unnecessary hybrid bees; put them in a separate chest; they will come in handy!

Next, we do everything according to the same scheme: analyze the bees and crossbreed the most suitable ones. I don’t see the point in showing the same action several times, so let’s move to the stage when we manage to breed the common bee.

Finally, I’m lucky, and when the queen splits, I got all common ones, but what to do with this next? Breed the Imperial bee further??? No! Now it's important to make stacked drones, but what is that and how to do it? Stacking drones means bringing bees to completely identical genes; for this, we will have to cross a common princess with a common drone until their genes become identical. Let’s take a look at the genes of these bees:

Our drones match according to the first analysis, which means it doesn’t matter which drone the princess is crossed with. Let’s keep crossing.

Excellent! The princess and drone match genes in the first analysis; this is a sign that in the next or a couple of runs, the drones will be stacked. Let’s keep crossing!

Voilà! Our drones have stacked, which means... The genes of the bees are identical! At this stage, I recommend running the bees a few times to have at least 10 drones in reserve; with their help, you will be able to quickly breed a new identical princess, which I will talk about a little later.

Next, we breed the other bees following the same scheme; nothing new will happen, I assure you, so I don’t see the point in dragging out the guide.

When you have Imperial and Diligent bees ready, place them in hives with chocolate frames; they increase the chance of production, and then making a Bee Hive is a piece of cake; you will just need to wait.

And now a couple of bonuses!

Where to get a lot of honey? Breed the Saffron bee; it breeds super easily, but gives 2 types of combs: honey and yellow. In yellow combs, you can get both a common drop of honey and yellow honey, both of which are suitable for the analyzer, and from them, ordinary honey is obtained!

How to breed a princess using drones? Look for a stone princess and place her together with 10 drones in the bee house, and now constantly crossbreed this princess ONLY with these drones, removing others to the rest of the hybrids. After about 6 crossings, the stone genes will completely go away, leaving only the genes of the drones with which you crossed the princess, and the drones will also stack!
