Hello, dear Players of the Cubix World project,
today I will tell you about the Twilight Forest mod
The very first thing you need to know is how to get to the Twilight Forest. To enter the Twilight Forest you need to teleport to the warp with portals and find a 2x2 portal surrounded by flowers, which is the portal to the Twilight Forest. After you enter the portal, you find yourself in a forest that has a lot of diverse biomes.
Beginning to develop in the new world
The first thing you need to do upon entering the new world is create the “Empty Magic Map”, for this you will need to kill a raven and collect “Raven Feather” from it, then go to a cave and mine “Torchlight”, after you have gathered everything you need for the map, craft it, take it in your hands, and right-click, and a “Magic Map” will appear in your hands, showing the map and some heads, which are the bosses of this world, and there are also other markings.
Quest Sheep
You can ignore the quest sheep, but when you complete it, you will receive some resources. From the very beginning, we need to find this Sheep on the map (its icon is shown above) and go to it, after we approach the place, we will see a building, walk to the center of the building and above you will see a dispenser, peek inside to see which types of wool are there, you can immediately put it on the Sheep or take it with you, after that you will need to collect all remaining types of wool (there are a total of 16), some wool can be collected right there from the sheep that walk around. After we have gathered all the remaining types of wool, we go to the Sheep to complete the quest, you need to put all types of wool on the Sheep, this can be done by right-clicking on the Sheep with wool in your hands or throwing wool near it and after a while, it will come up and wear the wool. After you have collected all types of wool on the Sheep, items will drop from it, resources, the Sheep trophy and “Horn”, with its help, you can break blocks, just take it in your hands and hold right-click, among the main breakable blocks: stone, cobblestone, dirt, gravel, and grass blocks.
Charms in Twilight Forest
Before moving on to the bosses, I will tell you about what drops in many dungeons with bosses, charms. There are two types of charms that drop in dungeons:
- “Charm of Life” - an item that gives you hearts, applies regeneration and grants invulnerability for a certain time when you are almost killed, it must always be in your inventory, there is level 1 and level 2 of the charm, level 2 gives, when you are almost killed, a higher level of regeneration, full hearts, damage resistance, and invulnerability for a certain time.
- “Charm of Inventory” - an item that, when you die and respawn, returns some items back to you, there are level 1, level 2, and level 3, the higher the level of the charm, the more items it will return to you after death.
First Boss
Before going to the first boss, it's best to craft armor and tools, if crafting armor from this world, you will need “Mossy Root”, which can be found under trees and in caves, when you have mined them, you need to create “Magic Material” and then smelt it to get “Ancient Metal” from which you can craft armor and tools, it’s best to also craft a bow and arrows for it. When we have armor and tools, we can go to the first boss of the Twilight Forest “Naga”, to get to her, you need to first understand what she looks like, her icon looks like this (the white thing at the bottom right is an arrow pointing to your route),
when you find her on the map, you go to that icon and see a wall, you need to get over it, after you get closer to the center, Naga will spawn, it's best to hit her from a distance with a bow, if she gets too close to you, attack her with a sword, but it’s better to always keep her at a distance. When you kill Naga, you will receive “Naga Scales” from her, from which you can make new armor parts, a new chestplate, and new leggings (the most important thing is not to throw away boss trophies). The most important thing after killing Naga is that you will be able to go after the next bosses, if you go out of order, nothing will work.
Second Boss
After you killed Naga, you can go further, and next we have Twilight Lich, its icon on the map will be marked like this (before heading to Lich, make a couple of golden apples).
When you reach this icon, you will see a huge fortress in front of you, you need to dig a hole in the wall and climb into the fortress. You can walk through the branches of the fortress, sometimes there are chests that spawn, but Twilight Lich you will find by climbing the spiral staircase in the very center of the fortress, when you reach the very top, (the Lich has 3 stages) Twilight Lich will appear with yellow hp and shields around it, it will also create two duplicates (the first stage), Lich and its duplicates will shoot fireballs and ender pearls at you, you need to break all its shields, using weapons or reflecting fireballs back at it. When all the Lich's shields are broken, its duplicates will disappear, the hp bar will turn purple, it will only shoot fireballs and summon zombies (the second stage), after you kill enough zombies, the Lich will turn to a red hp bar, it will start running with a sword in its hands and dealing massive damage, you need to hit it as quickly as possible, because after each of your attacks, it will pause for a moment. When you kill it, you might get a golden sword, golden armor, and one of its staffs:
1) “Twilight Staff”
this staff shoots ender pearls, it has 99 charges, each charge deals 6 damage, when it runs out you can recharge it by placing this staff and ender pearl in a crafting table.
2) “Staff of Death”
this staff will drain health from mobs ( when you target a mob), restore your health and also restore hunger, to recharge this staff, you need to place this staff and a fermented spider eye in a crafting table.
3) “Staff of the Dead”
this staff summons zombie minions that have 40 hp and deal good damage, to recharge it, you need to place this staff, rotten flesh, and any strength potion (except explosive) in a crafting table.
Third Boss
After Twilight Lich comes Mushroom Minotaur, which can be found here,
don't confuse it with this.
When you come to this place, there will be a small hill,
then you go inside, in the center, there will be something like a well, you need to go down, after you go down, you find yourself in a maze, it’s best to go through the dungeon just walking through it, rather than digging through it, since the maze blocks have very high durability. In this maze, there are many chests, so you should explore the maze, some loot rooms may be booby-trapped, so be careful, watch your feet. With some luck, you may drop a “Magic Core” from mobs in the maze, with it make a “Empty Maze Map”, when you make it, take it in your hands and right-click, and it will be much easier to explore the maze. In the maze, you need to find a descent to the lower floor, it looks the same as the entrance to the maze, you just can’t dig down to the lower floor, because between the floors, there is a layer of bedrock. You then need to explore the lower floor and find a room like this,
in it is Mushroom Minotaur. When you kill the Mushroom Minotaur, you will receive soups and “Minotaur's Axe” from it.
Fourth Boss
When you kill Mushroom Minotaur, get to the surface and go to the next Boss, the next Boss is Hydra, its icon looks like this,
to get to this icon, you will have to go through burning lands, there you will catch fire from time to time, to avoid catching fire, you need to eat the soup that you got from Mushroom Minotaur, when you arrive at this place, a Huge Dragon - Hydra will appear. To kill the Hydra you need a bow, when Hydra's heads open their mouths, you need to shoot directly into the mouth, after you kill a head, it will regrow, you can also deal damage to Hydra by reflecting its own fireballs back at it, after all Hydra's health is gone, all its heads will disappear, and its body will explode, you will receive “Meat of Hydra” and “Fiery Blood”, which can be used to make “Fiery Ingot”, and from it, armor and tools can be crafted. Those who attack you in this armor will catch fire, if you attack someone with a sword made from fiery ingots, the enemy will also catch fire.
Fifth Boss
After you kill Hydra, you need to go to the Boss Phantoms, their icon will look like this,
when you arrive there, you will see ruins with nothing useful in them, you just need to find something like a descent into the basement. When you enter the basement, walk through the corridors until you find the central hall, the way down will be blocked by Strong Shield blocks, nearby will be a Trophy Pedestal, you need to place any trophy you have obtained from bosses there and then the Strong Shield blocks will disappear, you need to go down and can start looting all these catacombs, in these catacombs, you will need to find a room with iron bars, you will need to dig a hole in them, after which you will see Phantoms, there are 6 in total, you need to kill each, you can simply approach them and hit them with a sword. When you kill the Phantoms, a chest will appear in the center, in which you can find Phantom's armor and Royal tools. After you have killed them, get outside.
Sixth Boss
After you killed Phantoms, you need to go to the Boss Dark Ghast, its icon looks like this,
when you arrive there, you will see a huge fortress, it looks like the fortress of Twilight Lich, but this fortress is much larger, approaching it, you can dig through the wall or find an entrance, which will be made from “Restoring Block”, when you are inside you can solve puzzles inside the fortress and loot, you will need to find a door with blocked restoring blocks, to find this door you will need to go through a challenge with blocks “Builder of the Tower”, you can't just build up because there are blocks of “Anti-builder” standing there, to pass this puzzle you just need to approach the builder of the tower, pull the lever on it, and blocks will be built where you look, there is a limited number of blocks, but it will be enough for you to get from one platform to another, the blocks disappear over time, so hurry up and pass through. To open the blocks in the door you will need keys (“Key to the Tower”), which can be found in the branches of the fortress.
When you have found all 4 keys, go to the door and open it, explore the fortress further, after you will find another door that needs keys, find them again, open the door and go further, eventually, you will climb to the very top of the tower. There you will find Dark Ghast, it will shoot a triple volley of fireballs at you, you need to reflect one of them right back at it, after it stops shooting fireballs at you, you can shoot it with a bow or use “Ghast Trap”, to use it, you need to kill small ghasts near it, after which the trap will charge with energy and can be used, but don't use it when Dark Ghast is far from you, use it when he is close, after which he will fly to it, will be pulled to the tower, will take damage and you will be able to hit Dark Ghast a bit. After you have killed him, in the center of the fortress at the top, a chest will appear containing “Fiery Tears” and “Carminite”, from carminite you can create some mechanisms of the fortress of Dark Ghast.
Seventh Boss
After you killed Dark Ghast, you can go to the next Boss, Almo-Yeti, its icon looks like this,
there is an entrance from 4 sides, the entrance looks like this.
When you arrive there, inside there will be many Yetis, and in the center will be Almo-Yeti, before rushing at Almo-Yeti and trying to hit him, kill all the ordinary Yetis around, Almo-Yeti will throw ice blocks at you, you will need to dodge them, when Almo-Yeti starts throwing ice blocks in all directions (during this attack, step back as far as possible, as this attack deals a lot of area damage), you can kill it with a bow, but when he starts attacking simply by throwing ice blocks aimed at you, you have to hit it with melee weapons, after you have killed Alpha-Yeti you will receive loot from it, “Arctic Fur”, “Almo-Yeti Fur” and “Snow Bomb”. From Almo-Yeti fur and Arctic fur, you can make armor, it’s better to make armor from Almo-Yeti fur, armor from Almo-Yeti fur provides more protection and enemies that attack you are slowed down for a while, you can throw the snow bomb at an enemy, if it's a Yeti, it will simply disappear and ice will appear in its place, if thrown at other mobs, they will be heavily frozen, move very slowly, and take 1 damage per second, but the bomb disappears after a short time; if you throw the bomb in water, the water will turn to ice.
Eighth Boss
After killing Almo-Yeti, you need to go to the Boss Snow Queen, her icon looks like this,
when you approach this icon, you will see a huge iceberg, you will need to climb it and then go towards the icon, you will see a beautiful fortress in front of you, you need to find the entrance to it, which is marked with a wooden block. Once you enter the fortress, you need to kill mobs, explore the fortress and ascend to the very top of the fortress, recognizing that you are in the right room will help the dense ice throughout the room and a ladder made from it that leads directly to Snow Queen, when you reach the very top, Snow Queen will appear and start flying on ice blocks, she can only be killed when she descends, since the ice blocks reflect all arrows and sword strikes, to deal damage to her, you need to wait for her attack when she starts spawning snowflakes and they fall down, which means that she will soon fall and break the floor, wait until she descends and hit her at that moment, as she breaks the floor with her attacks, she sometimes gets stuck on the lower floor, don’t rush to fall after her, because you can break a few blocks above her and start shooting her with a bow from a distance, you can also stand right below her and when she goes up and down, gaps form between her ice shield, through which you can hit her. When you have killed her, a pile of snowballs and one of two bows will drop:
- “Bow of the Seeker” - a bow whose arrows, when shot, even if you miss, will fly towards the nearest enemy.
- “Triple Bow” - this bow has good damage and shoots 3 arrows vertically at once.
Troll Caves and Floating Islands
Troll caves are large cavities with resources, to find them, go to such an icon and dig down until you find a cave,
there you can mine some resources; besides that, there are also obsidian boxes, break them and you may find “Unbeatable Soil” (if you place unbeatable soil and plant something on it, a seedling or, for example, wheat, it will immediately grow, but the unbeatable soil will turn into dirt, and if you place unbeatable soil and break it, it will drop dirt) and “Magic Seeds”, after they drop, get out of the cave, climb to the top of the mountain containing this cave, look up, and you will see something resembling a cloud, place unbeatable soil somewhere in an open space where there are no trees, then take the magic seeds in your hand and right-click on the unbeatable soil, and huge magical beans will grow for you, then use the beans as a ladder and climb to the very top, there you will meet Giants who look like you, the best way to kill them is the triple bow that drops from the Snow Queen, there are Armored Giants and Mining Giants, killing an armored giant, you may receive “Giant's Sword”, killing a mining giant, you may receive “Giant's Pickaxe”, the pickaxe and sword are ordinary, just look big, but Giant's Pickaxe can also mine Giant Blocks well.
Final Location
( The final location is purely decorative, as the Boss, mobs, and loot have not yet been added, if you want to get there and see the beautiful castle and walk through it, I will now tell you how to get there).
To get to the final location, you need to return to the troll cave with the giant pickaxe and in the very center of the troll cave there should be a box made of giant obsidian, after you open the box, you will see 4 chests; if you are lucky, you will find in them “Fire Lamp”. Now go to such an icon,
on the way to such an icon, you will encounter Thornbush, to pass it without any issues you will need the Fire Lamp, approach the spiky branch, take the fire lamp in your hand, hold right-click and then release, after which you can break them, just walking through them ( if you try to break the unburned branches with your hand, axe, or anything, at first the branch will turn green, and then with each new break, it will continue to grow and grow), then go straight to the icon, and soon you will find yourself right at the castle ( it’s also possible to get to the castle simply by building blocks from the floating island directly to the castle wall, as jumping down is not an option, after which go down the wall placing blocks lower and lower), after which find the entrance, and you can explore the entire castle, there are no loot, mobs, or Boss.
That's all. Have a good day or evening!
