What is a wipe in Minecraft?

Greetings to all players of the CubixWorld project!

In this article, we will explain to you what a wipe is and how it occurs.

So what is a wipe? Wipe (eng. Wipe) - is the cleaning of all worlds (Overworld, Nether, and End) and the server's database. You may ask: What does cleaning the database mean? It's very simple; cleaning the server's database involves deleting all items that players had and everything related to the players. In short, a wipe is a complete reset of the server to its original state (everything starts anew).

We have clarified the concept of a wipe, now let's move on to the types of wipes.

Wipes on servers come in three types: full wipe, partial wipe, and wipe of additional worlds.

Full wipe - is the cleaning of absolutely all worlds and the database, meaning your game will start from the very beginning.

Partial wipe - is the cleaning of worlds without the database. That is, the world will be refreshed and all constructions will disappear, but the items that players had in their inventory or ender chest will remain. This type of wipe is most often used for worlds like the Nether or End.

Wipe of additional worlds - is the cleaning of all additional worlds (Nether, End, etc.), except for the main Overworld. All additional worlds are completely cleaned.
